| Bio: | Character's name: Hououji Fuu Character's age: 14 Character's gender: Female Series the character is from: Magic Knight Rayearth Point in canon they're being taken from: Post-series Brief background: Fuu is the second-born girl of a middle-class family, living with her sister Kuu and their parents and attending a private school for gifted children. On a fateful field trip to Fuu is the last to learn how to use her magic, begging Guru Clef to teach her so that she can heal Umi's wounds. Clef tells her that her greatest strength lies in her compassion, and Fuu's magic is the only one shown in canon to be of both healing, defensive and offensive nature. In the spring of Eterna, where the girls go to find the mineral with which to make their weapons, they are attacked by an image of their most important person. Fuu is confronted by a vision of herself, from which she concludes that caring for others means caring for oneself too, as getting herself hurt or being unhappy will bring pain to the ones she loves as well. However, she's also aware of that even though one's life is not be given away lightly, there are causes worth sacrificing everything for, as she is only able to revive her mashin when she realises that she would be willing to give her life to save Hikaru and Umi. Just like the other girls, Fuu is deeply shocked and guilt-ridden after the conclusion of the final battle and the reveal of the prophecy's bitter true meaning, and agrees with them about wishing to do something for Cephiro, and fight for it by their own will and this time knowing full well what they are signing up for. After the battle for Cephiro's new Pillar has been fought and the system has been changed to one where everyone's collective will supports the world, the girls are given the power to travel between Earth and Cephiro at will. Personality: Fuu is the mandatory "smart one" of the group. She is calm, able to maintain a level head in most situations, quieter and more reserved than the other two girls, and most of the time she's very patient and agreeable. She also happens to be one of the quirkiest characters in the series: she's silly, has a habit of stating her thoughts out loud and pointing out the obvious, and is very genre-savvy – quickly after arriving in Cephiro she compares the world to a RPG, and continues to mostly treat it as such throughout the journey. This does not mean that she doesn't take her mission seriously; she's just odd like that, treating even the most alien of situations with everyday logic. Fuu is, however, both intelligent and wise, despite not always seeming like it at first glance. She can be cunning and manipulative when the situation calls for it, and is always all smiles and politeness even when dealing with enemies. In spite of this she is genuinely kind at heart, and comes to love Cephiro and its people just as much as the other two girls. As mentioned above, a lot of the strength of her heart stems from her great compassion, and she is very concerned about the welfare of others, but this doesn't mean that she is selfless or insecure: she is quite confident in her own intelligence and strength, only in a quiet way. She has a modest streak, though, and romance seems to be one of the few things that can make her flustered. | ||||||||||
